About the Job
As Head of RFIC Component Verification, you have the unique possibility to be responsible for the wholistic post-silicon component verification for United Micro's RF chips and macros. This involves building a state-of-the-art verification environment for RFICs in terms of verification team, lab infrastructure, automatization and equipment. Furthermore, you own the verification strategy based on product needs and priorities and provide the planning of component verification work packages.
Your Responsibilities
Build and structure the RFIC component verification
- Shape the component verification team and the CV setups in our RF Lab
- Set a common standard in terms of tooling, report formats and data structures
- Utilize and further develop existing verification tooling and implement test automatization
- Prioritize and plan required invests
- Build a strong network to external partners and suppliers
Define, plan and track RFIC verification
- Aligned with the RF system engineering and RFIC design teams derive a verification strategy that convinces by clear prioritization and efficiency in terms of verification coverage vs. time
- Estimate efforts for verification work packages and plan verification accordingly
- Track the verification progress and manage deviations pro-actively
- Provide early inputs to design- and system engineering team in terms of testability
- Define requirements for CV HW boards and align with RF System HW team
Execution of RFIC verification
- Identify product configurations and settings required for evaluation in alignment with RFIC design- and RF system engineering teams
- Conduct hands-on measurements
- Document results
- Pro-actively root cause potential deviations
Interpret and communicate results
- Beyond data you deliver a clear interpretation of results
- Communicate results pro-actively and spot on
- Plan and host verification result reviews with cross-functional participants
- Review and interpret measurement results from external IP providers
Education and Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in RFIC post-silicon verification and verification methods, including project management skills
- Track record in defining a verification strategy that maximizes efficiency and coverage
- Track record in post-silicon verification along the product life-cycle from first silicon to production ramp-up
- Experienced in leading and guiding small to medium size teams
- Hands-On experience in RFIC measurements and automatization
- Solid in understanding and interpreting 3GPP™ standards
- Proficient in using python™ for automatization
- You are able to turn data to a clear and crisp story, interpret data, derive conclusions and communicate spot on
- Experience in PCB design, design tools, vendors
- You are skilled in techniques for structured problem solving
- You find a way to reach your targets by managing deviations pro-actively
- Familiarity with RF system engineering and RFIC design is a plus
