The International Development Division (IDD) is an integral part of the University's Directorate for the Student Experience. Within IDD, the International Relations team undertakes a range of activities in support of the Global Influence Strategy and the work of the Associate Vice-President (Internationalisation).
The International Officer (International Relations) will join an established team and play a key role in providing operational support in the planning, development and implementation of a variety of projects and activities undertaken by the International Relations team. The role is deliberately wide-ranging in focus, in order to enable the team to respond to changing opportunities and challenges in the internationalisation arena. The post holder will take functional responsibility for aspects of ongoing work, for example the management and continued improvement of our service provision for our international sponsors, as well as provide support and project management of a range of other activities such as supporting inward and outward visits from our international stakeholders, the provision of management information and briefing notes, running events etc. All aspects of this work will entail close working with colleagues in Faculties, Schools, other parts of the Directorate for Student Experience as well as external organisations.
You will have demonstrable experience of meeting operational requirements, with excellent planning, project management and organisational skills with the ability to work to both short term and long term deadlines. You will possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) and be able to present information clearly. You will have sound analytical, creative and pragmatic problem solving skills. As a constructive team player you will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders.
